Ministry of Education has admitted erroneous assessment made with two booklets of the 12-grade preparatory exams. The ministry also said that it expects changes on results to over a hundred thousand students who took the exams this year.

After the announcement of this year’s results of 12 grades, many students, parents and teachers of various schools across the country cried out over erroneous assessment.

Speaking to the national broadcaster about the issue Minister of Education Telaye Gete has confirmed that there was indeed a mistake in two booklet answer keys. He also said reassessment has already begun. Telaye expressed his expectation that the re-assessment will change the results of more than 100 thousand students across the country.

The minister also said that his institution is working with various federal institutions to modernize the assessment system in place to make sure this kind of challenge does not happen again; afro FM reports.
